Every business that does email well has the same quiet asset that nobody talks about: a signup page their customers can actually find. Most businesses don't have one. They have a footer link on the website, a checkbox on the checkout, maybe a tab buried in the menu. None of those convert at any meaningful rate.
So we ship one with every plan. It is included. You don't pay extra and you don't set it up.
The page on yourname.mailelse.com
Every Mailelse client gets a hosted signup page at yourbusinessname.mailelse.com — your slug, your branding, your voice. It is one job: capture an email address, confirm it, and add the subscriber to your list.
The page loads fast, works on phones, handles double-opt-in for compliance, and routes the new subscriber straight into whichever welcome flow you have running. There is nothing to configure. We set it up the day you onboard.
The print kit
Most signups still happen offline. A customer at the counter says "sure, send me the newsletter," and either the staff member writes it down and forgets, or there is no place to point them. The print kit fixes that.
Every client gets three printable assets, designed in your brand, with a QR code that points at your signup page:
- Window decal — sized for the front door or shopfront window. Read at street pace.
- Table tent — the small triangular card on each table, with a QR on each face. Restaurants, cafes, salons.
- Receipt insert — half-sheet that folds into a paper receipt or shopping bag. Retail, takeout, services.
You print them locally — any office printer will do — or send them to your usual print shop. The PDFs are vector, scale to any size, and we re-issue them whenever you want a refresh.
Where to put each one
The window decal earns the casual passerby. Most signups from this asset come from people who walked past the shop three times before scanning. It is patient.
The table tent earns the mid-meal moment. The customer is already engaged with the business and has thirty idle seconds while they wait for the check. The conversion rate from a well-placed table tent is multiples of any digital signup channel.
The receipt insert earns the post-purchase moment. The customer just gave you money. They like you. They will sign up at a higher rate in the next two minutes than they will at any other point in the relationship.
What we measure
Each signup carries a source tag — which QR they scanned, which physical location, which campaign cycle. After three months you can look at the dashboard and see whether the table tents earn more than the window decals at your particular shop, and whether the receipt inserts beat both. Most clients are surprised by which one wins. The pattern varies by industry, by neighborhood, by season.
That is the data. We use it to tell you which assets to refresh and which to retire.
Why it is included
A list does not grow by accident. It grows because someone built the path from "customer notices the business" to "customer is on the list." Most done-for-you services charge for that path or leave you to figure it out. We include it because no amount of beautiful weekly emails matters if the list isn't growing.
You hand off your email. We send it well, and we make sure the list it goes to keeps getting bigger. Both halves are the work.
