How we work

Two lanes. Same handoff.

Whether we send from our stack or operate inside the tool you already pay for, the work you do stays the same: you don't open a tool, touch a template, or chase a deadline.

Why both

Most agencies pick a side. We don't.

Some businesses don't have an email tool yet — or they have one and they hate it. They want one team, one bill, one place to log in. We send from our own stack and that's Studio.

Other businesses have years of audience history inside Klaviyo or Mailchimp. Their flows, their segments, their data. Moving would be a six-month project nobody wants. So we don't move them. We log in to their tool, we do the work there, and the bill they already pay stays where it is. That's Managed.

The product is the same in both lanes. Only the sending account changes hands.

Two ways we work

Same handoff. Two lanes.

Either way: you don't open a tool, touch a template, or chase a deadline. The only thing that changes is who owns the sending account.

Studio

We send from our stack.

Best if you don't have an email tool yet, or you'd love to drop one.

  • Lower monthly — sending is included
  • One bill, one team, one place to log in (us)
  • Our deliverability, our infrastructure
  • We handle migration if you're moving from a tool

Managed

We operate inside your tool.

Best if you're already on Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Brevo or similar — and don't want to move.

  • Keep your ESP, your list, your history
  • You add us as a sub-user, we do the work there
  • Your ESP bill stays separate
  • Approvals + calendar still live in the Mailelse portal

Either way

What stays the same.

Three verbs. Three nevers. One punchline.

01

We write.

Subject lines, preview text, body copy, CTAs. In your brand voice — captured once during kickoff and refined over time. You see drafts in the portal.

02

We design.

Layout, blocks, images, mobile preview, dark-mode preview. Built to render across inboxes. You approve in one click.

03

We send.

Schedule, audience segment, send window, post-send report. From our infrastructure (Studio) or yours (Managed) — same hands on the controls.

No tool to open.No template to touch. No deadline to chase.
Cadence

What a typical month looks like.

Same rhythm in either lane. You spend roughly 15 minutes a week on email — most of it spent reading drafts.

  1. Week 1
Plan. We propose what goes out this month based on your business calendar (launches, restocks, seasonal). You confirm or redirect in the portal.
  2. Week 2
Draft. First versions of each send land in your approvals queue. You approve, request a revision, or push to next month.
  3. Week 3
Polish & schedule. Revisions applied, audiences segmented, send times set. In Managed we do this inside your ESP; in Studio, in ours.
  4. Week 4
Send & report. Each send goes out on its scheduled day. A short post-send note hits your inbox: opens, clicks, what worked, what we'd change next.
Which lane is right for you

A 30-second decision.

Pick Studio if…

  • You don't have an email tool yet, or you're paying for one you don't use.
  • Your list is under ~50k and growing.
  • You want one bill, one team, one login.
  • You'd happily drop the current tool if migration is handled for you.

Pick Managed if…

  • You're already on Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or similar.
  • You have flows, segments and audience history you don't want to leave.
  • Your ops/finance team needs the ESP relationship to stay where it is.
  • You want a creative + sending team — without changing your stack.

Not sure? Tell us your current tool and list size — we'll recommend the lane that costs you less and gets you sending faster.

Questions

Two-lanes FAQ.

Can I switch lanes later?

Yes. Studio → Managed (we set up your new ESP and migrate). Managed → Studio (we import your list, flows and templates into our stack). One-time setup fee, no penalty.

If I pick Managed, do I pay twice?

No. You pay Mailelse for the work (writing, design, scheduling, reporting). You pay your ESP for sending — exactly what you pay them today. We don't mark up your ESP bill. We don't add a sending fee on top.

Who owns the audience?

You do, in both lanes. In Studio your list lives in our platform under your account — exportable any time. In Managed it never leaves your ESP. Either way, no lock-in.

What about deliverability?

Studio: we run dedicated sending IPs with full DKIM/SPF/DMARC tuning. Managed: we work with whatever your ESP gives you, plus monitor seed-list placement and reputation alongside their dashboards.

Will my login change?

No. In both lanes, you log in to the Mailelse portal (briefs, approvals, calendar, reports). In Managed you don't need to log in to your ESP at all — though you still can.

Does the price change between lanes?

Yes — Managed is slightly higher per month (we're operating inside a tool we don't own, which is more labor) but in total you usually pay less because the ESP bill you already pay covers sending. See pricing for the side-by-side numbers.
